While performing the duties of this job, the Production Worker is required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell and to perform repetitive motions throughout the day

Must regularly lift or carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 500 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Able to work in plant setting and be exposed to current weather conditions. Laundry machinery produces excess heat and can lead to extreme heat exposure during summer months.

Can work around lint, dirt and dust in the plant and a moderate noise level.
Job Summary:
The Production Worker at DLLS is responsible for swiftly and efficiently processing linen, both table and room, to return to customers in excellent condition. This is an entry level position that may have the production worker working various workstations throughout the laundry.
The potential workstations include:

Receiving / Soiled Sort – count in and divide for washing all linens received

Washroom – load / unload washing machines
-
Clean Sort – dividing linens from washers to go to designated workstations
-
Dryers – dry, fold and stack linens
-
Ironers – feed, receive, hang, fold, stack linens
-
Finishing – Wrap, bag, sort or stack linens to be shipped
-
Shipping – count order received from all departments, match to receiving count, input completed order in computer and load in truck bays for shipping to customer
